Wanderings
Last week, my coach Jo, gave me a quote to ponder. The quote is: “We wander for distraction; we travel for fulfillment.” Hilaire Belloc.
I have been pondering that quote, and to me, it seems just the opposite is true: “We wander for fulfillment and travel for distraction.” Maybe I should change it to: I wander for fulfillment and travel for distraction.
This week we are on a family vacation; 15 of us in a five bedroom (three bathroom) cottage on Round Lake, Michigan. I shall get up very early to go wandering and pondering.
Does “fulfillment” come on “Higher Ground?” I wonder? (As I wander and ponder?-sounds like a song..:)
What are YOU wondering about today? What do YOU think about that quote? Where does YOUR fulfillment come from?

I am pondering if it is in achieving fulfillment you then achieve higher ground. Another thought is that on the journey to higher ground fulfillment will be part of the end result. This has given me a lot to think about…especially what fulfillment means. Thanks.

Wander / Travel — it could be your perspective.
“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.” Lao Tzu.
That sounds like wander to me….Jo
