Gratitude for “running”
I pulled my left hamstring last year; it has taken a very long time to heal! I finally got tired of waiting and decided, this morning, it was time to run again. I told Jeff, my trainer, and he agreed. After a great work-out that included some running on the treadmill, we agreed that running would be O.K After I left, I decided to run home. (It is only a 1/2 mile.) On the way, something caught the corner of my eye. It was a mama deer and her baby deer; they were running along side of me! I stopped to look at them. They stopped to look at me. In that instant, I could feel them saying, “Come on, Janet-RUN. You can do it! …And off they went into the woods…and off I went on my run home! Thank you, mama and baby deer, for your encouraging “words.” I am grateful. I am Blest!
