I am excited!!! All I need to do to qualify for Boston is shave two minutes off my mile; all 26.2 of them, of course…
Now, thinking back to the original premise of Hosea 10:12
“Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain Salvation upon you”
That verse simply means to “break up the ground you have not farmed in a while or have not ever tried. In life there are parts we have given up on expecting anything but with the righteous love of God all things are possible.”(Thank you, Pastor Gaertner)
Gosh God, I had felt like I was trying everything to improve my speed; joining an amazing running group RunningFit501, running 2-3 times a week, even ran on an underwater treadmill!
What had I not tried??? Yes! The Alter G treadmill!!! It is this amazing treadmill that, once you are “loaded” into, you can run at a percentage of your body weight. It allows you to increase your speed, heart rate and lung capacity but lower the impact on your body.
I love it!! I now go every Wednesday at 2:00 and run for 30 minutes. Last week, Coach Warhurst had me at a 9.5 minute mile for the last 10 minutes of my run.
I am excited! With God, all things are possible! 🙂 🙂 🙂
What are YOU trying that will farm YOUR dream???
We would LOVE to hear from YOU!
